TCICP’s New PD Opportunities for 2016-2017

We’re thrilled to announce TCICP’s PD offerings for the 2016-2017 school year. This year, we’re once again running Inquiry-to-Action teams on Assistive and Instructional Technology and Accessible Educational Material (AEM) and Literacy in the Inclusive Classroom: Strengthening and Expanding Students’ Access to Literacy for Learning. Inquiry-to-Action teams meet seven times over the course of the school year and offer participants an opportunity to investigate inclusivity vis a vis their own school settings.

We also have a brand new DOE-sponsored initiative, Inclusive Curriculum Development. This year, educators can join colleagues from across the city and a TCICP Staff Developer once per month in collaborative inquiry around designing, implementing, studying, and publishing units of study that are standards-based and structured around the principles of Universal Design for Learning (UDL).

Finally, we have a menu of one and two-day workshops that are open to anyone! We’ve got workshops on Universal Design for Learning, Challenging Behavior and Crisis Paraprofessionals, Supporting Developing Writers, among others. Check out our Workshops page for registration and pricing information.
